Janet M. Bjork began her career as a registered nurse specializing in critical care at both civilian and military hospitals. She served for two years at KI Sawyer Air Force Base Hospital in Michigan before being invited to transfer to the USAF Academy Hospital in Colorado. Six years later, Ms. Bjork transferred to Dallas, TX where she was employed by the Veterans Administration Hospital in MICU.

In 1991, she demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit by purchasing and operating a cardiovascular diagnostic service providing 24-hour ambulatory ECG monitoring to a large Phase I clinical research unit
in Austin, TX. Ms. Bjork also co-founded and served as Vice President of Bridges International Services Corporation, a for profit company, exporting medical products and services to the Caribbean and to
Havana, Cuba from 2005-2007.
Ms. Bjork continues her career in the pharmaceutical research industry as a well-respected Senior Clinical Research Site Manager monitoring Phase II-IV clinical trials for multiple major pharmaceutical sponsors.
